Alaska Senator demands Biden expand military spending, unleash energy exploration to counter Russia

Senator Dan Sullivan (R- AK) discusses the clarity of message needed by President Biden’s State of the Union Address in light of his recent policy decisions of decreasing of the Defense Budget and the importing of Russian oil, making up “40%” of the U.S. oil right now. The Senator signed onto a letter demanding President Biden address tonight, 11 “key issues of his misguided polices”, some of which include issues of America’s national security and energy independence. The Senator comments that “the woke left is defining our energy policy, and the woke left is defining American national security.” Saying “even Democrats are starting to recognize that this is a disaster, not just domestically”, “but from a national security standpoint, certainly Putin uses energy is a weapon and we're unilaterally disarming.”
