Local sheriffs, officials have authority stop every constitutional rights abuse by Federal and State Governments says ex-sheriff

Richard Mack

Sheriff Richard Mack, former Sheriff of Graham County, Arizona and head of Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Organizations, discusses his movement amongst local sheriffs and officials to ensure that the Federal and State governments are “not victimizing citizens within [their] jurisdictions”. Mack, attributes this power that the local government has to Federalist 51, calling it his organizations motto, which says that, “Hence, a double security arises to the rights of the people, the different government will control each other.” Mack explains that this means that local sheriffs and government can help their local citizens rights from being infringed upon, “and stop every single abuse being dished out by either the federal government or the state government that violate the Constitution.”
