Vladimir Putin, Jan. 19, 2021

Dr. Kiron Skinner, Member of the Board of Academic Advisors at America First Policy Institute and former State Department official talks diplomacy and the need for a return to the Trump Administration’s “deterrence policy”. Commenting that the current standoff on the Ukraine- Russia border looks to be a “false crisis”. Her comments come after Ukrainian President Zelensky’s televised speech over the weekend calling on U.S. officials to show him the U.S. intelligence of an imminent Russian invasion saying that Ukrainian intelligence does not show this at all. The former State Department adviser comments that the Ukrainian President’s comments are “highly problematic” and shows a “level of distrust” from not only Kiev but also distrust of “U.S. Intelligence”, which she suggests to “goes back to the 2016 presidential campaign”, and the Democrats having “intelligence failures”, like the “Russian dossier and all of these issues, and the world was watching not just the American electorate.”
