On Easter Sunday, churches find ways to celebrate amid coronavirus pandemic
A South Carolina church had drive-in style services
People celebrated Easter Sunday much differently than usual this year due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Cross Community Church in South Carolina advertised two drive-in style services, instructing people to remain in their vehicles and tune into 89.1FM on their radios.
Lakewood Church in Texas, headed by megachurch Pastor and author Joel Osteen, held a virtual service that included digital appearances from Tyler Perry and Mariah Carey as well as on-stage messages from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo.
The Church of England previously announced that it would air its very first national digital church service for Easter. The Archbishop of Canterbury and others were recorded at their homes.
