With Americans at home in lockdown mode to stop the spread of the coronavirus, they are now getting in fewer car accidents, President Trump said Friday.

Trump also said that in Manhattan, the epicenter of coronavirus crisis, 2,500 beds in the Javits Center and on the USNS Comfort were set aside to give excess capacity for coronavirus patients.

"That was going to be for regular medical problems, such as accidents," Trump said during the daily White House coronavirus task force press briefing. "You know it's very interesting, the governors tell me, 'We don't have too many accidents, very few people driving."
