Biden campaign trolls Trump in first Truth Social post: 'Converts welcome'
Many of the campaign's posts on Truth Social are short videos from Trump's Republican primary opponents.
President Joe Biden's campaign joined former President Donald Trump's Truth Social and has been continuously trolling Trump.
"Well. Let’s see how this goes. Converts welcome!" the Biden campaign wrote in its first post Monday.
The account, which already has more than 15,400 followers, has a profile picture featuring the meme of "Dark Brandon," an image of Biden with glowing red eyes similar to those that conservatives originally used to mock the president.
Many of the campaign's posts on Truth Social are short videos from Trump's Republican primary opponents, such as one where former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley called Trump's comments "irresponsible," and another where Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said, "Trump's four years I think was a total of $7.8 trillion added to the national debt."
Other videos directly attack Trump by framing his previous remarks in a negative context.
The Biden campaign said on X, formerly Twitter, that it had joined Truth Social "mostly because we thought it would be very funny."
It appears likely that the former president will go up against Biden in the 2024 presidential election, but Trump remains ahead of Biden in multiple election polls, including in vital swing states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania.
