Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang calls for replacing Biden
"Guys, the Dems should nominate someone else - before it’s too late," said Yang, who has registered as an independent since dropping out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race.
Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang called for President Biden to be replaced as the presumptive 2024 Democratic nominee about 90 minutes into the CNN debate.
"Guys, the Dems should nominate someone else - before it’s too late," Yang, who has registered as an independent since dropping out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, wrote on X on Thursday night.
Other Democrats, speaking to Politico, expressed similar sentiments partway through the debate.
MSNBC host Joy Reid said her Democratic sources are panicking after Biden's debate performance.
“The universal reaction was somewhere approaching panic," she said.
