Former President Donald Trump is projected to the win the Virginia Republican primary, notching an early win on Super Tuesday as he heads toward claiming the Republican presidential nomination.
The Associated Press called the race for Trump, who earned 63.2% support as of 10:30 p.m. with 94% of the vote reporting. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley trailed with 34.7%.

Prior to the Tuesday evening contests, D.C. was the only primary in which Haley bested Trump.
President Joe Biden, meanwhile, handily won the state, earning 92.5% of the vote at the time of that call against primary rivals Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips.
