Ron Johnson to run for a third Senate term in Wisconsin

Sen. Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican who investigated Joe Biden’s family business deals and Lee hearings into the failed pandemic response, announced Sunday he will run for reelection in November in what will be one of the most closely watched races in America.

Johnson explained his decision in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that described why he chose to break an earlier pledge to only serve two terms in the U.S. Senate. 

"I believe America is in peril. Much as I’d like to ease into a quiet retirement, I don’t feel I should," he wrote. "Today, I am announcing I will continue to fight for freedom in the public realm by running for reelection. It is a decision I haven’t made lightly."

Johnson said he expects millions of dollars to be spent against him as the mainstream media, Big Tech and Democrats work together to defeat him.

Johnson warned that millions of dollars will be spent trying to "destroy" his campaign, and that the mainstream media and Big Tech will collude with Democrats in an effort to defeat him.
