Masters, Kelly deadlocked in leadup to Arizona Senate election: poll
In the governor's race, Republican Kari Lake leads her Democratic opponent.
Arizona Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly is in a dead heat with the GOP's Blake Masters with less than two weeks remaining before the Nov. 8 election.
In the most recent survey from the left-leaning Data for Progress, the pair is tied at 47% each among likely voters, with 3% supporting libertarian Marc Victor and 4% still undecided, per The Hill. The poll was conducted from Oct. 11-17 among 893 likely voters.
In the governor's race, Republican Kari Lake leads her Democratic opponent, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, by a 4-point margin.
The survey also found that Arizonans have a more favorable view of former President Donald Trump than President Joe Biden, 49%-42%.
Masters faced off with Kelly in a televised debate earlier this month, during which he repeatedly tied Kelly to the Biden administration's policies and the ongoing migration surge at the southern border.
The RealClearPolitics polling average currently assigns Kelly a 1.5% lead overall, but projects Masters will win the race.
