Biden was 'aware' of Michael Flynn probe during transition
Former Vice President Joe Biden, during an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America,” said he was “aware” at the time of the investigation intoTrump’s former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
“I was aware that they had asked for an investigation, but that’s all I know about it and I don’t think anything else,” Biden said when pressed by George Stephanopoulos over what he knew about the Obama administration’s moves to investigate Flynn during the presidential transition.
Documents released last week reveals that there was an Oval Office meeting on Jan. 5, 2017 where Flynn apparently was discussed.
In the interview, Biden said that 'this is all about diverting attention from the horrible way in which he has acted," referring to President Trump.
"We don’t have coronavirus because of him, but we have the devastating impact of it because of his lack of a policy, because of his lack of action. It’s all about diversion.”
The Justice Department is moving to drop the criminal charges against Flynn for lying to the FBI.
