Former Charles Manson follower released on parole after serving 53 years in prison

Leslie Van Houten, a former Charles Manson follower and convicted murderer, was released from a California prison on parole Tuesday after serving 53 years of a life sentence. Van Houten, now 73, was 19 when she and the Manson family murdered supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary.
