Rep. Tenney says the Biden administration 'doesn't seem to care' about the Iran freedom fighters
The New York congresswoman says that Biden doesn't seem to care about the issues that are going on in Iran regarding protests after the killing of Mahsa Amini.
GOP Rep. Claudia Tenney says that the Biden administration doesn't seem to care about the protests going on in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Amini.
Protests erupted in Iran after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was beaten to death by the Iran regime's "morality police" for not complying with strict rules regarding hijabs.
Congresswoman Tenney referred to the protests as a significant moment in history which could result in the Iranian regime falling.
"This is a really great moment and the Biden administration doesn't seem to care," the New York Rep. said on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "It's very similar to what happened under the Obama administration. They didn't have time to bother with these freedom lovers and so it's really tragic that the Biden administration isn't trying and standing up."
"I'm not saying that everybody in there doesn't care about it," Rep. Tenney clarified. "But when you're projecting weakness, you're just a provocation for these people to continue onward with their with their malevolent schemes and that's what worries me right now."
Tenney also called out liberal women in the United States for not bringing more attention to the Mahsa Amini killing.
"Where are the liberal women out there who really care about women's rights?" Tenney asked. "Especially when they see a woman that is murdered by this brutal regime because she didn't wear her clothing properly."
In terms of how President Biden should respond to the Iranian regime, Tenney says she thinks that Biden should stop negotiating with them.
"I would like the president and his team to stand up and say, no more negotiations," Tenney said. "We need to say that we will not tolerate Iran with a nuclear weapon. We will not tolerate the continued murder of people of innocent people."
