Tucker Carlson's video post excoriating collusion between the political elites and establishment media in the wake of his departure from Fox News managed to draw a colossal viewership in the span of a day.
After Fox announced this week that the last episode of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" was last Friday, the former Fox host posted on Wednesday a short video on his Twitter account in which he encouraged Americans to seek truth and lamented that existing media outlets shunned debate on serious topics.

His departure has led to a marked ratings crash at Fox. Carlson's temporary replacement, Brian Kilmeade, brought in 1.7 million viewers on Monday, 47% fewer viewers than Carlson typically attracted. That decline affected other Fox shows, with both "Hannity" and "The Ingraham Angle" seeing viewer drop-offs this week. Conversely, several shows on Newsmax, a more right-leaning news network, saw considerable boosts to their audiences.
Carlson did not address his departure from Fox News nor did he indicate any future plans, though his potential future endeavors remain of interest to his fans.
