MTG during House COVID hearing tells Fauci he should be prosecuted for 'crimes against humanity'
Congresswoman Greene made the comment during a hearing of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic
GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene told Dr. Anthony Fauci, a leader in the federal government's COVID pandemic response, during a House hearing Monday that he belongs in prison for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, and she urged her colleagues to write a criminal referral for his “crimes against humanity.”
She also said Fauci, the former director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, doesn't deserve the title of doctor, according to the Washington Times.
She made the comment during a hearing of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, of which she is a member. Greene, of Georgia, was reprimanded for the comment by panel Chairman Brad Wenstrup.
Greene also during the hearing, called over concerns about possible cover-up by the federal government during the pandemic, showed a photo of beagles subjected to animal testing experiments for which she said Fauci was responsible.
“We should be recommending you to be prosecuted," she said, also according to the Washington Times. "We should be writing a criminal referral because you should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity. You belong in prison."
