Meadows agrees to post $100K bail after being indicted in Georgia election fraud case

Former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on Thursday agreed to post $100,000 bail in the Georgia election case.

Meadows will be the 16th of 19 defendants to have a the state judge overseeing the case sign off on rtheir bond agreement.

All of defendants have until Friday to surrender to authorities, a deadline set by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who led the investigation that results in criminal charges alleging a multi-person plot to try to change the election results in Georgia for the 2020 presidential race.

Former President Trump, who lost the election to Democrat Joe Biden, which Georgia having been a pivotal state, was among those charge. He is expected to surrender Thursday at a county jail. 

Meadows faces two counts in the indictment, according to The Hill newspaper.

He has denied wrongdoing, and has attempted to have the case moved to federal court, where he'll attempt to assert immunity.
