China says won't sell arms to either side in Ukraine War, amid Western concerns of Russia alliance

China's foreign minister said Friday his country won’t sell weapons to either side in the war in Ukraine, amid Western country concerns about whether China has already or will provide Russia with weapons.
China has maintained that it is neutral in the conflict, to the extend of saying it wants to try to help end the roughly 14-month conflict, started when Russia invade Ukraine in February 2022.
China Foreign Minster Qin Gang in make the announcement about arms sales became the highest-level Chinese official to make such a statement about weapons to Russia.
He also said China would regulate the export of items with dual civilian and military use.
"Regarding the export of military items, China adopts a prudent and responsible attitude," Qin said at a news conference alongside visiting German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, the Associated Press reports. "China will not provide weapons to relevant parties of the conflict, and manage and control the exports of dual-use items in accordance with laws and regulations."
He also reiterated China’s willingness to help find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
