Marjorie Taylor Greene says she's disappointed in Speaker Johnson's continuing resolution

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says that she isn't very pleased with the continuing resolution recently proposed by House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. 

"I was disappointed in the clean CR that he rolled out and passed," Greene said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "That was a very bad move – funding Joe Biden's horrible federal government and Nancy Pelosi's budget by continuing it."

Earlier this month, Speaker Johnson introduced a two-step CR that he said would allow the House GOP more time to reach a consensus on federal spending cuts. He also declared he will not pursue any more short-term funding bills. The measure passed with bipartisan support.

Greene said that the House needs to do better and get spending under control. 

"I was absolutely surprised because Speaker Johnson had voted against the last clean CR that Kevin McCarthy had brought out," she said. "So I didn't expect that from him, and it was really unfortunate."

Greene also added that there has to be accountability in the Republican Party.

"I'm mad at Republicans almost as much as Democrats, because I think we need accountability from our own party and not just strongly worded letters, not committee hearings, and not news clips," she said. "We need real action."
