First lady Jill Biden tested negative for COVID-19 and plans on leaving isolation in South Carolina to travel to Delaware on Sunday, her office stated.

Biden tested positive earlier this week after developing "cold-like symptoms" Monday evening. Her husband, President Joe Biden, recovered from COVID this month after battling a "rebound infection."

Elizabeth Alexander, the First Lady's communications director, tweeted on Sunday: "After isolating for five days and receiving negative results from two consecutive COVID-19 tests, the First Lady will depart South Carolina later today for Delaware."

The First Lady, who was boosted twice after being vaccinated twice, was in isolation in a private home in South Carolina.
