Former baseball player and broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers, Bob Uecker, passed away, according to Thursday new reports.

The Brewers said this day was “one of the most difficult days in Milwaukee Brewers history," according to The Associated Press.

The same said he died Thursday.

Uecker played baseball for the team starting with the Milwaukee Braves in 1956 and continued to play for years. He won a World Series ring with St. Louis in 1964.

He eventually served as the Brewers' main broadcaster for 54 seasons and got the name "Mr. Baseball."

“There’s no single person in this franchise’s history who has been as iconic and as important as Bob Uecker,” Jeff Levering, a member of the Brewers’ broadcast team, said.

His family put out a statement, saying he brought countless joy to audiences with his charisma and love for baseball.

"It is his kindness, humility, and love for family and friends that we will hold closest to our hearts," Uecker's family said in a statement on X.
