Trump campaign creates new coalition 'Jewish Voices for Trump'
The coalition is expected to help combat antisemitism on college campuses, and work to codify antisemitic protections into Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, according to its website.
Former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign on Thursday announced a new coalition titled "Jewish Voices for Trump," which consists of Jewish leaders, former administration officials, and influencers.
The creation comes as antisemitic attacks rise in the United States after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, especially at college campuses where antisemitic protests at the end of last school year shut down schools and resulted in the cancellation of commencement ceremonies at multiple elite universities.
The coalition is expected to help combat antisemitism on college campuses, and work to codify antisemitic protections into Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, according to its website.
“President Trump will reaffirm our strategic commitment to Israel, confront Iran’s campaign of terror, and reassert American values at home by stopping the spread of antisemitism and anti-American sentiment in our streets," Republican National Committee spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko said in a statement.
The coalition also promises to be a "home" for Jewish voters who feel "politically homeless" or "betrayed by the Biden administration."
“The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) is proud to stand with the most pro-Israel President in US history, Donald Trump," RJC National Chairman Norm Coleman, and RJC CEO Matt Brooks said in a statement. "This is the most important election of our lifetimes, and the RJC is all-in to elect President Trump and Senator Vance."
