The FBI raid of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Monday night has seized the attention of the political world.

Trump's critics concluded the raid proved he broke the law and should be prosecuted.

Trump's supporters, meanwhile, expressed concern that the FBI is being weaponized for political purposes. Even some prominent Democrats critical of Trump said the government needs to explain itself for the raid.

Other observers, including renowned legal expert Alan Dershowitz, don't support Trump but described the raid as government overreach. Dershowitz said the operation was part of an effort to get Trump "disqualified from running" for the presidency again.
