Another Democrat spotted posing without a mask while campaigning ahead of the midterm
Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin is the latest Democratic politician to skirt restrictions she says she supports.
Another Democrat running for election in 2022 has been spotted mask-less in a room full of masked up people.
Incumbent Michigan Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin has posted a photo of herself smiling Sunday at a campaign kickoff event with rows of COVID-mask wearing supporters behind her.
"Elissa Slotkin supports mask mandates for everyone but herself. She is a complete hypocrite," said Mike Berg, a National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman.
The online picture of Slotkin, a moderate running against Republican state Sen. Tom Barrett, follows a similar one last week of fellow Democrat Stacy Abrams, whose running for Georgia governor. Pictures of Abrams sitting among young students each wearing a mask has since been deleted from social media.
The Abrams campaign has said the candidate was wearing a mask upon arriving at the school but removed it for pictures and to better communicate.
In recent weeks, California Democrats Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti also were spotted mask-less, posing with celebrities and athletes at a Los Angeles Rams football game, despite the state's mask mandate.
