Parts of Disney World shut down on Monday due to the presence of a black bear in the Magic Kingdom section of the resort.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has captured the adult female bear and is currently seeking to move it out of the facility to the Ocala National Forest, NBC News reported.

"Staff have captured the animal and are relocating the bear out of the park to an area in or around the Ocala National Forest," the agency stated. It further speculated that the bear was seeking food ahead of hibernation season.

Historically, black bears were indigenous to most of North America. They remain active in many parts of the United States, including portions of central Florida, according to the North American Bear Center.
