Most voters don't want businesses taking positions on public policy issues: Gallup poll

As the 2024 presidential election draws closer, corporations and other businesses might be inclined to speak out publicly on the issues of the day but a new poll finds that most Americans don't think they should.

Less than 4 in 10 U.S. adults (38%) think businesses should take public stances on current events, according to a new survey from Bentley University and Gallup.

A Gallup analysis of the results noted that the 30% figure is a decline of 10 percentage points since two years ago.
