Over half of US adults want insurers to cover weight-loss drugs, new poll finds

A nationwide poll published by health policy researcher KFF Friday found that nearly half of American adults would be interested in taking a prescription weight-loss drug. 80% said insurance companies should cover the cost of weight-loss drugs for adults classified as obese or overweight, and over half of those polled said insurers should cover anyone who wants to take it.
