Monica Crowley calls UN a 'breeding ground' for hate and a 'cesspool' of antisemitism
"It is long past time that the United States removes itself from this cesspool," Crowley said.
Former U.S. Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Monica Crowley condemned the United Nations as a breeding ground for hate and antisemitism.
"The United Nations has long been a breeding ground of hate," Crowley said on the Friday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "It's long been a cesspool of antisemitism, anti-Israel activity, anti-American activity, and frankly, anti-western activity."
"They have long embraced terrorist organizations, terrorist countries like Iran [and] coddled them," she added. "But also, dictators and authoritarians of all stripes. They have been perfectly happy and at home at the U.N., while freedom-loving countries like Israel and the United States have been put on the back heel by the U.N."
Earlier this week, the U.N. failed to pass an amendment to condemn Hamas following the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel.
In response, Senators Mike Lee, R-Utah and Tommy Tuberville, R-Al. have called to end funding to the U.N.
Crowley, who served under former President Donald Trump, predicted that if Trump is reelected in 2024, he will remove the U.S. from the U.N.
"It is long past time that the United States removes itself from this cesspool," she said. "And I have a strong feeling that if President Trump is reelected, he will do exactly that."
