Rolling Stones to release first original album in nearly two decades, 'Hackney Diamonds'
It is unclear whether the album will feature Paul McCartney after the surviving Beatles member reportedly recorded bass parts for the Stones earlier this year.
The Rolling Stones announced that they are planning to release their first original album in 18 years, titled "Hackney Diamonds."
Details about the album's release will be shared Wednesday during an event in East London's Hackney district where "The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon will interview Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, The Associated Press reported Monday.
The event will be livestreamed via YouTube at 9:30 a.m. EST on Wednesday.
"Hackney may be at the heart of Hackney Diamonds, but this is a truly global moment we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube," the Rolling Stones said.
The album, which is the first original one since 2005's "A Bigger Bang," will also be the Stones' first since founding drummer Charlie Watts died in 2021. The album may feature Watts' drumming, however, as Jagger and Richards said he had recorded his parts for several songs before he passed away.
It is unclear whether the album will feature Paul McCartney after the surviving Beatles member reportedly recorded bass parts for the Stones earlier this year.
